2010-2011_ RESIDENTIAL & COMMERCIAL BUILDING in Gliwice _ Honorable Mention of SARP                             Competition "Architektura Roku Województwa Śląskiego 2012"

An irregular form building of considerable lengths and exceptionally various heights of each of two segments |2 and 7 floors| that was erected in the direct neighborhood of an apartment house from the beginning of the last century

The bearing structure of the floors consists of the monolithic spatial arrangement of 40/40cm columns and 40/40(45)cm beams with 20cm thick slab floors of precast and topping concrete technology. In consequence of the analysis for serviceability limit states of cracks and deformations, the slab in a edge zones was thicken to 25cm.
The 2 bottom levels of the expanded layout comprising car parks and commercial services are created from 2 flat roof slabs 30cm thick supported by 40/40cm columns like in flat floors above, but circular 45cm diameter columns placed in the 6,0x6,3m grid at the garage zones.
A superstructure stiffness of the flat floors provide both continuous structures of the RC vertical communication systems and the perforated exterior columns infill of the lightweight bricks masonry.

Due to the subsoil of a high factor instability and various configurations of geotechnical layers, the deep foundation was settled i.e. the RC raft 60cm thick was supported by the square precast piles of AARSLEF.
